DTV Thai Soft Power

Choose a Thai cooking or Muay Thai programme in Bangkok or Phuket, and let Make Living Easy handle your DTV application.

Make Living Easy helps you choose a suitable DTV Soft Power programme — from Thai cooking courses in Bangkok and Phuket to Muay Thai or MMA training at a registered gym in Phuket — then supports your enrolment, documentation and DTV visa application from start to finish. Medical treatment also qualifies. It’s a 5-year, multiple-entry visa allowing stays of up to 180 days per entry, extendable once.

Requirements

  • Aged 20 or above, with a clean Thai immigration record
  • 500,000 THB (approximately USD 15,000), held in a personal savings or current account for at least 3 consecutive months prior to application
  • Enrolment in an approved programme, generally running 6 months or longer
  • A letter of acceptance from the training institute or gym
  • Proof of permanent residence in the country or territory where the application is submitted
  • A Certificate of Criminal Record Clearance issued by the country of your nationality or permanent residence
  • Application submitted from outside Thailand — application jurisdiction and accepted evidence vary by Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate, so confirm the requirements of the relevant mission before applying

Cryptocurrency holdings and investment-account statements are not accepted as proof of funds.

Benefits

  • Stay up to 180 days per entry, extendable once, across 5 years
  • Multiple entry, no re-entry permit required
  • Spouse and children under 20 may join as dependants once you hold the visa

Who is this for?

Applicants who want to spend an extended period in Thailand through genuine enrolment in an approved Thai cultural or wellness programme — whether that’s a Thai cooking course in Bangkok or Phuket, or Muay Thai and MMA training in Phuket. Make Living Easy helps you find the right fit before you commit.

Common applicant profiles

  • Someone enrolling in a structured Thai cooking programme
  • A Muay Thai student training at a registered gym for six months or longer
  • Someone pursuing an approved course of medical treatment in Thailand
  • Someone weighing this against a Retirement Visa or Thailand Privilege for a lower-commitment first step

Application overview

We start by helping you select and enrol in a suitable programme — a Thai cooking course or a Muay Thai/MMA programme — and gathering your letter of acceptance and supporting documentation, including proof of permanent residence and a Certificate of Criminal Record Clearance. Once your enrolment and funds are in order, we prepare your DTV application for submission from outside Thailand, confirming the requirements of the relevant Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate first.

Earning remotely instead?

DTV Thai Soft Power is built for applicants enrolling in an approved Thai cultural or wellness programme, such as Muay Thai training or a Thai cooking course. If your income comes from remote work, freelancing or a business based outside Thailand, DTV Workation may be the better fit.
