Who is this for?

Remote employees, freelancers and business owners whose income and clients are based outside Thailand — often described as Thailand's digital nomad visa or remote work visa route — who want an extended stay without switching to Thai employment.

Common applicant profiles

  • A remote employee with a foreign employer who wants to base themselves in Thailand for part of the year
  • A freelancer or consultant with a portfolio of overseas clients
  • A business owner running a company registered outside Thailand

Application overview

Once your funds, remote-income evidence, proof of permanent residence and Certificate of Criminal Record Clearance are in order, we prepare your application for submission from outside Thailand — confirming the requirements of the relevant Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate first — then monitor it through to approval.

Not earning remotely?

DTV Workation is built for remote employees, freelancers and business owners with income from outside Thailand. If you’d rather qualify through an approved Thai cultural or wellness programme instead — such as Muay Thai training or a Thai cooking course — DTV Thai Soft Power may be the better fit.

Considering a longer-term route?

If your remote income clears roughly USD 80,000 a year — or USD 40,000–80,000 combined with a qualifying master’s degree, owned intellectual property, or Series A funding — and your employer meets the LTR criteria, the LTR Work-from-Thailand Professional category may be worth exploring alongside DTV Workation. It trades a higher bar for a ten-year visa with lighter reporting.

Money-back guarantee

Money-back guarantee on eligible service and program fees. Government fees and disclosed card-processing fees are excluded. Terms apply.
